The Perfect Summer Dress and a Trip Home to the Country

I haven't always been a city girl - I grew up in the countryside, and spent my childhood aware that as soon as I was able to drive I would - being a 30-minute walk to the local corner shop alone!
Nonetheless, fast forward to today, I am well and truly settled into the big smoke, so much so, that I now have no need for a car due to the convenance of getting anywhere and everywhere from central London.

So, last weekend I took a trip back to the country for a couple of days, in hope of some rest, exploration, catch-ups with loved ones and most importantly - greenery!

The weather was quite spectacular, reaching 28oc- a rare treat in May for those of us living in England!
Here I am soaking up the sun...
I packed quite light, knowing that it was home from home, and I only needed to bring the absolute essentials- of course for me, priorities up until recently used to be what clothes/accessories shall I take, now it is a case of making sure I have enough medication and that all my medical details are handy.
That being said, because of the humidity, it was crucial the clothes I did pack clothes were light and loose - due to my PoTS -extreme changes in heat can often cause me to collapse.
Which I didn't experience on this day, might I add! (Quite a celebration!!)

This is the perfect monochrome summer dress, as it is a great versatile piece that can be worn with sandals during the day, or heels in the evening
